Covid Updates

Dear Friends,

As the whole world continues to navigate the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, our first thought is for the safety and wellbeing of all individuals and communities impacted by these difficult circumstances. In these unprecedented times, it is important that we come together to support each other and all those who are impacted. At St. Patrick, we pray for everyone and ask God to help heal and remove the scourge. While we cannot live our lives in constant fear; we need to take care, to be vigilant, and to follow safety protocols. People have commented positively about the safety measures we have taken in the church to help people feel healthy and secure while attending Holy Mass. Wearing masks, using hand sanitizers and social distancing are the best available means now to stop the spread of the virus. We encourage you to follow these regulations. You are welcome to attend the Public Holy Mass and regain strength from the Eucharistic Lord through his Word and Sacrament. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour”(1 Pet 5:8).

 What is Test Iowa?

  • TestIowa is a new initiative in partnership with our state leaders and private corporations. The goal is to dramatically increase the rate of COVID-19 testing so Iowans can have better access to testing and help stem the spread of COVID-19 to get us back to normal as quickly as possible.  

                    Why is it important to consider testing?

  • The sooner we can identify COVID-19 cases, the sooner we can get back to our normal way of life.

  • In addition to social distancing, widespread testing is a proven, effective way to combat the spread of COVID-19.

  • Testing gives us crucial data that we need to track the spread of the virus, contain it, and to help find a cure and save lives.
